Bavarian: Situated at the south of Germany, The Bavarian Alps almost feels like a different country. there is the beautiful lake of Linderhof Palace near Oberammergau in southwest Bavaria.

Neuschwanstein Castle: Absolutely stunning! King Ludwig II, also known as the “Fairytale King”, was a great admirer and supporter of Richard Wagner, the world-renowned composer. This fairytale castle looks down on the village of Füssen.

Lake Chiemsee: Lake Chiemsee spans over 30 square miles and has two islands, the Fraueninsel (Women’s Island) and the Herreninsel (Men’s Island). The Herreninsel is home to Bavaria’s largest castle.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen: Garmisch-Partenkirchen is one of the largest resort towns in Germany and one of Munich’s favourite getaway spots.

Zugspitze: About 3000 meters above the sea level, Zugspitze is the highest peak in Germany and has the largest ski area of 22 kilometres of perfectly-groomed run. You can get a panoramic view of the Dolomite mountains of Italy and the Swiss Alps when you are at the top.

Munich: The city also has a wide array of museums, notably the three Pinakothek art museums exhibiting fine arts and graphic arts from six centuries all located within walking distance.

Other Sightseeing: The Olympic Centre where the Olympic Games were held in 1972, The Nymphenburg Palace, a Baroque palace which until today remains a summer resident for the rulers of Bavaria Munich’s Englischer Garten.

Finally a magazine for Senior Citizens has come to the newsstand for the public to read. There are many reading materials published for children, teenagers, men and women and now, it is time to publish one for our golden people.

Although this magazine is meant for the Senior Citizens, the articles contributed are for the benefit of all. All are welcomed to write, contribute, participate and comment. This is the inaugural issue and is packed with a lot of information, activities, events, health tips, interviews and biographies. Wisdom comes with age.

Likewise, senior citizens’ expertise, knowledge and advice are valuable assets to the younger generation. Aging is not only a seniority of calendar years but also an accumulation of wisdom. As we progress technologically, the humanitarian aspect of helping people should not be forgotten.

Progression of arts and science is the acquisition and execution of knowledge and progression of age is the combination of perseverance, righteousness and sense control which produces wisdom. Age is not confined to numbers; aging is a biological process not a psychological one. So long as your psyche is strong, you do not age.
